About

I am a book conservator based in Toronto, Canada.

I entered the world of conservation through my interest in bookbinding. I have been making books as long as I can remember but I took my first bookbinding course in 2015 at Morley College (London, UK). Since then, I have taken a range of bookbinding courses in Canada and the UK.

I studied object conservation at Fleming College (Canada) where I learned about conserving a wide range of materials and gained a foundation for understanding the materials that make up books. I developed my specialism in book conservation at West Dean College (UK), where I completed my MA.

One of my favourite aspects of my current role, as conservator for the Thomas Fisher Rare Book Library, is exhibition mounting. I love the creativity of mount design and the challenges of bringing a curator’s vision to life.
